petersonlamps@tds.net! My father, Jack Peterson, was in the furniture supply business most all of his professional life. I started Peterson Lamps 30 years ago, as a part of his business. When he retired in 1989, I bought the Peterson Lamps division, and moved it to Hudsonville in 1990. Most of today’s lamp companies have become importers of lamps from China. They bring the complete lamps and shades to the States and warehouse them. I have remained, in what we call in the trade, an assembler. I buy my lamps primarily in component parts, some from China, but many from the States. I am also focusing more of my purchasing back into the US. I buy my wood parts locally in Grand Rapids. I then assemble the components into lamps right here in Hudsonville. I offer matching floor and table lamp models in Antique Brass, Satin Nickel, and Rubbed Bronze plated finishes. I offer these with a choice of fabric and hard backed fabric shades. I also have a group of painted wood floor and table lamps in eight “Cottage Style” colors.
